Saint Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) will host its annual Staff Appreciation Awards on Friday February 21, 2014 under the theme, “50 Years of Powering Lives, Dreams and Communities…50 Years of Powering the Nations Success.”
A record number of awards are expected to be handed out in various categories including 58 Perfect Attendance and seven Employee of the Fourth Quarter awards. In addition, 40 employees will be recognized for Length of Service and four retirees will receive the Retirees Award.
The Employee of the Year award will also be handed out during the ceremony. Any 2013 Employee of the Quarter who was recognized more than once last year is eligible for this award. If no employee achieved this distinction, the winner will be chosen based on the highest scoring Employee of the Quarter.
The nominees for the three other highly sought after awards – Supervisor of the Year, Manager of the Year and Contractor of the Year – are nominated by relevant Department Heads. In each category, the winner will be chosen by interview if more than one person is nominated.
In addition to these traditional awards, two new awards will be handed out namely the Committee Team Recognition Award and the Special Achievement Award.
The 2014 LUCELEC Staff Appreciation Award Ceremony will be held at Cul-de-Sac from 2 p.m.
