Suzanne Sylvester who’s attending university is counting on fans to like this pic to win her a scholarship.
A St. Lucian-born attending the City University of New York (CUNY) has had to enter a photo contest to obtain much needed funds to pay her way through to school.
Suzanne Sylvester, who hails from the community of Bexon, entered a photo contest dubbed ‘Frame My Future Scholarship Contest’ which requires individuals to “like” her submitted photo on Facebook. The more likes, the better her chances of gaining the scholarship.
According to Sylvester, she migrated to the US three years ago in search of better opportunities. She moved in with her mother and step-father and enrolled as a junior at her university.
She said constant increases in tuition led her to apply for a scholarship, one of which is the photo contest which offers a grand prize of $1,000. Sylvester believes that winning the contest will surely “propel me closer to completing my degree.”
“Please lend a helping hand by liking and sharing the attached link. I may only have one shot at achieving this…” she said in a message to Saint Lucia News Online (SNO).
“One Facebook like from you will draw me nearer to the spotlight. Please like and share this. Thank you” she said.
