The Black Bay Gardens Development will be officially placed on the market after a sod turning ceremony on Wednesday, March 5, 2014.
In January 2014, the National Development Corporation, now trading as Invest Saint Lucia, signed a joint venture agreement with OB Sadoo Engineering Services (OBSE) Limited, to develop 13 acres of land in Black Bay, Vieux-Fort.
The project, named Black Bay Gardens, will make available 54 residential and commercial lots.
While Invest Saint Lucia has made the land available, OBSE will finance the infrastructure to the tune of EC$4.8 million. The development will include concrete roads, drainage, sewer lines, water and electricity.
Prime Minister Kenny Anthony has expressed his excitement at this development.
“It gives me great pleasure to note the investment of over $4,000,000 in the community of Vieux-Fort. While lands will be made available to the people of Saint Lucia for investment, this development will also, in the short term, provide employment to the people of Saint Lucia.
I look forward to the commencement of this development and I have no doubt that the infrastructure will be of the highest quality, as has been the case with similar developments in Hewanorra Gardens and Black Bay, Vieux-Fort,” he said.
The sod turning ceremony will be held at 10 a.m, on Wednesday, March 05, 2014.
