Shauna Menald is the reigning Miss Gros Islet Carnival Queen.
Interested young ladies looking for a spot as a 2014 Gros Islet Carnival Queen contestant can try out on March 30.
The audition will be held at the Bay Gardens Inn Conference Room from 12:30 p.m. The committee is accepting candidates aged 17 to 25 years. At the audition, candidates should perform a talent to last for two minutes. They will also be interviewed by a panel of judges.
Candidates are being asked to bring a biography of themselves, swimwear, high heels and a recent 8×10 head to shoulder photographer taken by a professional photographer. Those interested must have completed secondary school and passed at least five CXC subjects.
