Capella Marigot Bay Resort & Marina: Marigot Bay.

A two-month renovation project will result in the closure of Capella Marigot Bay Resort and Marina starting at the end of April.

An article on Travel Weekly’s website states that 122 guestrooms and suites will be renovated. A rooftop restaurant and Rum Cave which is expected to feature a number of local rums in a “warm, relaxed cave-like space,” will also be constructed.

Renovation works will be undertaken by design firm OBM International.

The hotel’s Hurricane Hole Bar will be relocated to its dock area, according to the article.

Changes also include an Auriga outdoor spa, a new fitness center, infinity pool and swim-up raw bar.

In addition to this, new shops, bars and a restaurant will be added in the marina area.

During a special reception in February, invitees were introduced to some of the hotel’s construction plans and other “innovative” ideas for the Marina and Marina Village which are expected to be completed by summer.

Capella Marigot Bay Resort and Marina was previously the Discovery Hotel but was acquired by an international development group, and now is managed by Capella Hotels and Resorts.
