The Mecca, formerly Young Mecca, had his single Zoom Zoom featured in Monday’s (Mar. 17.) episode of VH1′s drama series “Single Ladies. ”
The dance single, heavily driven by grinding electronic sounds and fist pumping bass, was featured in a club scene which had the song running in the background for nearly one minute.
This is a great accomplishment for Mecca as this was his second placement opportunity following a near placement in CBS’s hit show Criminal Minds a few years back.
“It sounded nice in there, I won’t lie, ” Mecca said. “There will be more of those to come. It’s one revenue stream in music I am going to keep on exploiting.”
