PRESS RELEASE - The SLFA Fantasy Football Championship sponsored by Heineken in its finals stage will be decided on the Micoud Playing Field this weekend.
District teams using popular European football club names will play in the semifinal round this Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Micoud Playing Field, and the final of the SLFA Fantasy Football this Sunday, May 18, 2014 also at Micoud.
The semifinal round of the SLFA Fantasy Football Championship will showcase district teams from the northern, eastern and southern part of the island, these teams are as follows;
Friday, May 16 – Central Castries Barcelona vs Vieux Fort North Arsenal kicking off at 6:30 p.m. and
Friday, May 16- Gros Islet Manchester City vs Dennery Chelsea at 8:30 p.m.
Then, on Saturday, May 17, 2014, The SLFA’s Under 17 Male Inter-District Football Tournament Finals will be played at the Mindoo Phillip Park.
Third place match up – Gros Islet Under 17 vs Canaries Under 17 at 2 p.m.,
Finals for 1st place – Vieux Fort South Under 17 vs Central Castries Under 17 at 4 p.m.
On Sunday, May 18, 2014 the grand final of the Fantasy Football Championship takes place at the Micoud Playing Field. The match ups are:
Third place playoff at 4 p.m.
Grand final first place playoff at 6 p.m.
