In a Division 1 clash at Gros Islet, ISE withstood a valiant effort from the Combined Schools team, pulling away late to continue undefeated in Division 1 basketball with an 89-67 victory.
The Monster Player of the Game came from ISE: Gabriel McFarlane leading all scorers with a tournament high 43pts and 9rebs.
Joel Polius also had an impressive double-double of 12pts and 20rebs for ISE. For Schools, Kraigg Brooks top-scored with 21pts and had 4 steals in their loss.
In another Division 1 game at the Vigie Sports Complex, Soufriere defeated Veterans, 63-57. For Soufriere, Linzel Alcee led all scorers with 24pts, 5rebs and 3steals.
Marcellus Steide was the high man for Veterans with figures of 14pts and 9rebs. The Monster Player of the Game was Linzel Alcee for his performance in the win for Soufriere.
Game two of the doubleheader at the Vigie Sports Complex, should’ve featured defending champions Courts Jets versus BBC in Premier league action. Points were awarded to the defending champions Courts Jets due to BBC forfeiting that game.
