PRESS RELEASE – The much-anticipated inaugural Dr. Gale Rigobert Netball Competition will be launched on Saturday, July 5 at 5 p.m. on the Micoud Court.
The tournament will be hosted under the theme, “Mobilised and United for Excellence in and out of the Shooting Circle.”
Parliamentary Representative for Micoud North Dr. Gale Rigobert explained that this tournament was organised to provide opportunities for young people in Micoud.
“Not only will this tournament seek to engage the youth but it will also help develop the sporting abilities of these athletes. Participants should see the competition as a stepping stone to move on to the next level and even play for the national netball team,” Rigobert said.
Twelve teams have already registered to take part in the tournament:

Knock-out competition matches will commence on July 11 from 6 p.m. on the Micoud Court.
