PRESS RELEASE - The Ministry of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport informs the general public that bus fares authorized in 2008 have not changed and still apply for all routes.
The Ministry reminds public omni-bus owners and drivers that pursuant to the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic (Omni-bus Fares) Regulations of 2008, a driver of an omni-bus shall not charge or demand more than the fares chargeable, pursuant to the regulations.
The ministry reminds also that the fares, in relation to the route which the public omni-bus has been authorised to ply, should be clearly displayed inside the omni-bus.
In this regard, users of any public omni-bus, by law, cannot refuse or omit to pay for the fares stipulated in the 2008 regulations and displayed in the omni-buses.
