Donations consisting of: general school supplies and teaching tools, reading material, and productivity tools were donated to teachers to assist them in facilitating a more effective and comfortable learning environment for their students.

Last Thursday, the Digicel marketing team kicked off their annual back to school drive with a difference. Now in its sixth year, , traditionally Digicel would provide deserving students at primary schools island wide notebooks ,pencils, erasers, sharpeners, rulers, and backpacks in preparation for back to school. This year Digicel has added a new dynamic and donated school supplies to the teachers who dedicate themselves to imparting knowledge and molding the minds of these future leaders.

Teachers from the Balata Primary, Marchand Combined, Gordon & Walcott Memorial Methodist and Odsan Combined Schools were all recipients of the unexpected but very welcomed gift from Digicel.

Head of Marketing Leslie Collymore commented, “Digicel continues to diversify in the investment it makes toward the education and development of St Lucia’s youth. Being able to provide teachers with tools needed in the classroom is a small gesture that Digicel believes will enable St Lucia’s youth to realize their full potential in a favorable learning environment. ”

Digicel St. Lucia will continue to support the nation’s youth and will commence its distribution drive to underserved children at 64 primary schools next week!
