PRESS RELEASE - St Mary’s College kicked off the Consolidated Foods Ltd Inter Schools Under 15 Basketball Tournament in grand style with a convincing 84-10 victory over Babonneau Secondary.
St. Mary’s College victory was set up by Sean St. Croix: 16 points, 4 rebounds, 9 steals; Kivani Emile 15 points 10 rebounds 6 steals and Donej Joseph 12 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds and 3 steals.
For Babonneau Secondary’s response came from Frank Monlouis 6 points, 6 rebounds, Diandre Boston 2 points, 2 rebounds and Jonathan Paul 2 points 2 rebounds.
In LUCELEC Under 19 Inter School Basketball Tournament Soufriere Comprehensive looking to continue their recent dominance of school basketball with a salient 56 – 11 over Micoud Secondary at the Soufriere Multipurpose court.
Yohance Cazaubon led all scoring with 18 points 2 assists 7 rebounds and 7 steals to secure victory for Soufriere Comprehensive.
For Micoud Secondary Marlon Edwin scored 5 points 1 rebound and 2 steals.
In LUCELEC Under 19 School Football:
At the SAB Sporting Facility Nekhi Charles – 35th minute, Nanjee Phillips – 37th minute and Stava Praaynun 58th minute converted for St. Mary’s College to hand Leon Hess Comprehensive a 3 – 0 defeat.
Two goals from Fernando Stephen and an own goal from Murldon Mathurin saw Clendon Mason get pass Grande Riviere Secondary 3 – 0 at the Dennery Playing Field.
Entrepot Secondary won by default over Ciceron Secondary School.
One match was played in the LUCELEC Under 15 Football tournament at the Micoud Playing Field. Molice Lubrin converted in the 36th Minute to hand Micoud Secondary a 1 – 0 victory over Anse Ger Secondary.
