Speaking during the presentation ceremony, CIBC FirstCaribbean’s Ian Nathaniel, stated, “Over the years, Adopt-a-Cause has contributed towards the work of a number of local community groups that add value to the lives of elderly and youth on island.
The Adopt-a-Cause Programme is an annual community-focused programme spearheaded by our employees, who identify and select organisations within their communities that can benefit from a helping hand. This year we pooled our resources together to focus on enhancing the Paediatric Ward of the Soufriere Hospital.
A total in excess of $14,000.00 EC$ went into restoration activates and supplies for this project. We are thrilled that outside of our core operation, as a corporate entity the name of CIBC FirstCaribbean has become synonymous in Saint Lucia with human empowerment, celebration of culture and tradition and community involvement – through such programmes as Adopt-A-Cause. Indeed, we are bankers, but we are also our brothers’ keeper.”
