A Grande Riviere woman is fearful that someone may be trying to harm her.
Samara (only name given) of Assou Canal, Grande Riviere, Gros-Islet said she got the shock of her life on Monday when she opened a match box she had found the day before underneath her flooring, containing pieces of her hair.
Samara told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) today that she was doing some small renovations to her house on Sunday, and while removing her floor boards, she realised that there was a box of matches in the palm of her foundation.
The woman said she removed the matches and placed it in her pocket. On Monday, Samara said she was going through her clothes and found the box of matches in her pants and decided to open it.
To her surprise, the box had strands of her hair wrapped on a piece of paper, a paper with her name and her child father’s, who she shares a four-month-old baby with written on it, a single triple (A) battery, a bottle of incense, a small piece of green cloth and some dirt mixed in it.
The paper also contained words such as: ” No Light No Success, No Light No Peace, I bind them together for I will succeed.”
The frightened woman told SNO she is convinced that the items found in the match box are some form of witchcraft. Nevertheless, Samara said she is happy that her older children did not find it instead.
“Right now I want to believe that someone is trying to do me something… I can’t see why someone would just want to do that,” she stated.
But this is not the first time that Samara has experienced this alleged witchcraft. According to her, she tends to find something of that nature whenever she does renovations to her house.
She told SNO that in her previous renovation she found her name, her ex’s name, and that of her two older children in a bottle, which contained two beetles, pieces of her hair, and a paper containing their dates of birth.
When asked who she thinks might be responsible for planting the match box beneath her house, Samara said she is clueless as to who it might be, but said it has to be someone who does not favour her. She claims that she does not have any enemies.
Samara said she plans to search her entire house properly, to ensure that nothing else is in it that poses harm to her family.
