Twenty-one-year-old Chenic Smith will be representing Saint Lucia at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Cave Hill Campus Miss Spicy Caribbean Pageant slated to take place on February 5.
Smith who hails from Morne Du Don, Castries is competing against five other contestants/ countries, which includes: Antigua, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize and Grenada.
The pageant is being organized by the Grenada’s Student Association of UWI Cave Hill Campus in Barbados.
Asked what she hopes to achieve from participating in the pageant, Smith said, “It’s also my very first time part taking in a pageant so I’m looking forward to using this to boost my self confidence.”
The Morne Du Done young woman said apart from that she would like to be the voice for the students of the St.Lucian Association at the UWI Cave Hill Campus.
Smith plans to win the People’s Choice Award, which is opened to online voting. “You can vote by liking my picture. So please go like and share the picture it will be greatly appreciated. We can do this St. Lucia!”
