PRESS RELEASE - Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Kenny D. Anthony is currently in Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis, attending the 81st Meeting of the Monetary Council of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB).
Dr. Anthony will join other Ministers for Finance and officials of the ECCB in the Lecture Room of the ECCB Headquarters today, Tuesday February 24, 2015 to deliberate on legislative reform for the financial sector and to receive the Governor’s report on Monetary and Credit Conditions in the ECCU.
Thereafter, Prime Minister Anthony is expected to travel to Nassau, Bahamas, for the twenty sixth Inter Sessional Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
Dr. Anthony will to return to Saint Lucia on Saturday, February 28, 2015.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport, Hon. Philip J. Pierre, will act as Prime Minister from February 23-25, 2015. Hon. Philip J. Pierre is expected to travel to Miami on official business on Wednesday, February 25, 2015.
Hon. Emma Hippolyte, Minister for Commerce, Business Development, Investment and Consumer Affairs, will act as Prime Minister from February 25-28, 2015.
