Police in Barbados are investigating reports that Barbadian Adrian “AA” Sealy was among two people who drowned after a vessel capsized while on the way to Barbados from St Vincent on Sunday night, according to a Nation News report.
Police public relations officer Inspector David Welch said they were trying to verify the reports.
Two bodies washed up between St Lucia and St Vincent on Monday.
Sealy, who had a long criminal record, was released from prison last year after serving a sentence.
Back in 1992 he became a fugitive when he skipped the island while facing a number of charges including aggravated robbery. He was arrested in Canada three years later and sent back to Barbados.
On Monday, Micoud Police found a male body on the Anse Ger Beach. The face was partially disfigured from burns.
Police are yet to identify the body.
