A team of four which represented the island at the Caribbean Junior Dueling Challenge (CJDC) in Barbados on August 23-25, 2013 have received top honors.
Recent Soufriere Comprehensive School graduates Neka André and Tessa Wilson, their Home Economics Teacher Nashaka Charlery and coach Chef Elija Jules of Jade Mountain formed that contingent.

The secondary school competition involved two rounds – a Signature Dish and a Mystery Basket segment.
“The performance of the Saint Lucia team was highly acclaimed and that put them in the top position,” the release states.
