Coconut Bay Beach Resort and SPA announces the closure of its property for a period of one month.
The closure of the property will run from September 1 to 30, 2013 during which time renovation and upgrading works will be undertaken in order to enhance visitor experience and comfort.
Management explains that the works to be undertaken during the period of closure will include: renovation and upgrade of the main restaurant, repainting of all room blocks, and the repair and enhancement of all pools and water slides along with general maintenance works.
The hotel will re-open on October 1, 2013 for business with its full complement of staff.
During the month-long period, line staff will be accorded the opportunity to be engaged in a supporting role as related to the renovation and upgrading works. All staff is anticipated to continue with the hotel when it reopens for business in October. In addition the hotel will be employing a cadre of new employees to meet manpower needs for the upcoming peak season.
In line with its policy in inclusiveness, hotel management has discussed details pertaining to arrangements for staff with the National Workers Union which is the representative body for workers.
