Dear Wille: I am writing to you because I am desperate for am answer. I am a 25-year-old who is in love with two men.
My ex-boyfriend and I were together for 10 years and we recently broke up because we both had trust issues. Our relationship was not working out anymore so we called it quits. Six months ago, I met this guy; he is not everything I’m looking for in a guy and I love him, but he keeps saying that all he wants is to have fun and get to know each other. I really feel like I’m wasting my time falling for someone who will possibly never fall for me or even take me serious.
I recently hooked up with my ex and he is being everything I ever wanted him to be, however I can see that my new guy is really trying. Now I’m stuck between two great loves and I don’t know what to do. Can you please help? I am in desperate need for some.
Dear miss: You first need to figure out what you want. Clearly you can’t have both men. If you’re with one and he isn’t serious then why are you still sticking around?
Essentially, you have to know your worth, who is committed to you and who you have genuine affection for – only then you will know where you stand, otherwise you’re wasting both the guy’s time and yours. You need to stabilise your feelings and steer that in one direction and commit. Some women think they must be in a relationship to feel like somebody. Self-love is the best love one can give to herself.
