ECCO Chairman – McCarthy Marie from Dominica
PRESS RELEASE - The Annual General Meeting of the Eastern Caribbean Collective Organisation for Music Rights (ECCO) Inc. is scheduled for Saturday 16th August, 2014 at 9.30 a.m. at the 1st Floor Conference Room of the Cultural Development Foundation, Barnard Hill, Castries, St. Lucia.
AGM business will include:
• Approving the Minutes of the 2013 AGM
• Receiving the Chairman’s Report
• Receiving the Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31st December 2013
• Appointment of Auditors
• Election of Directors
The Chairman of the music rights organization Mr. McCarthy Marie will be able to report to members on the growth in membership as well as the increase in revenue collection despite ECCO operating in an environment where a number of hotels and other businesses have gone into receivership and/or changed hands.
The commercial sector in general achieved poor economic performances across the OECS during the period under review which lead to the use of music either being reduced or a build-up in debt to ECCO. Despite the overall economic situation ECCO has been able to achieve a growth in revenue by a focused licensing campaign geared at licensing more users across the ECCO administered territories.
Please note members resident in the OECS territories outside of St. Lucia will be able to take part in the AGM and Workshop by audio visual technology.
