Millet Karate School grading exercise
Six members of the Millet Karate School have moved up the ranks after a grading exercise last weekend.
Under the guidance of Sensei Joseph Henry, the school held its second graduating ceremony for the year at the Tete Chemin Multipurpose Centre. Chief Examiner, Grand Master Errol Weekes, supervised the examinations.
Three of the six youngsters moved on from white belt status, one from yellow and two from orange. Former white belt Makhi James is now a yellow belt, whilst Tarick Francis and Sherwin Regis moved up to orange. Aalah Henry also graduated to orange from yellow, whilst former orange belts Dantez Prescott and Nigel Edwin are now the proud owners of green belts.
Grand Master Weekes was pleased with the overall performance of the graduates. He advised students to be disciplined pupils and to adhere by the code of conduct of the Martial Arts. He also cautioned the pupils regarding safety and the importance of keeping parental counsel.
Sensei Henry was pleased with his students and commented, “I am very pleased with the students’ performance and determination in achieving their goals. I do hope that they continue to excel in the art.”
