My name is Claudia Changoo, born in St. Lucia, left 30-plus years ago, but leaving one thing behind: my heart to my island.
Over five years ago, my family and I became expats in China. I wanted to bring light to my beautiful country and decided to represent St. Lucia on the other side of the world.
Every year for United Nation’s Day, we celebrate St. Lucia in China’s UN Day parade. It is truly a great privilege to carry my island flag along with my daughters.
There is also a charity organization called CAC, Caribbean Associate of China, of which I am on a board member, representing St. Lucia.
I wanted to shed light on how thankful I am for being a St. Lucian and where ever my travels have taken me, the love for my country is always with me.
