Two persons sustained injuries when an SUV vehicle careened off the road near the Ti Rocher junction in Micoud on Thursday, November 27 at around 2:30 p.m.
An eyewitness told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) that the driver, a senior citizen, may have fainted which caused the vehicle (registration HE4269) to run off the road into the drain.
The source said the vehicle rode the drain for about 80 feet before stopping. As a result a female passenger sustained a broken limb and the man was unable to contain himself as he was still in a imbalanced state, the source added.
An ambulance took them to the hospital.
